Fall 2009

As Liz is regularly going to the gym and trying to go back to work, I've stayed at home with the boys occasionally during the day. A couple times I took a moment from cleaning, reading to them, and being a jungle gym to take some photos here and there.

One morning we made a video of them riding the fire truck...

... and then took photos while playing in their bedroom. I love their facial expressions in this next set.

Jonah "smiling" for the camera.

Jonah said he was "sleeping in the tent", and Owen... I have no idea what was with the tongue!

In this one, Jonah was saying "Cuddle with your brother".

Here, we have Jonah trying to stuff more animals in, while Owen tries to get out.

A video of them at their grandparents' house in October.

Jonah was complaining that his belly hurt one evening, so I got out the stethoscope to do a little abdominal exam. The kids were "being doctors" for a long time afterward!

One Saturday, we took the morning to go for a family hike on Mt. Agamenticus in York.

There's Owen in the backpack.

At the top, the boys ran all over the place and played while we ate a picnic lunch. There's a lot of pictures in this series, but I like them all.

Oooo, look, an airplane.

Jonah discovered, on his own, the fun of walking on a balance beam.

Next, a couple of photos of the people who make every day fun for me!

Next, a couple of very cute videos of the boys talking and playing imagination games together.

At home in the camp chairs. I like that Jonah's feet are a blur.

For Thanksgiving weekend, we went to Cape Cod.

Owen had been saying "I look like a farmer!" as soon as we put on the overalls that morning, but when we got there, there just happened to be a hat...

... and a wheelbarrow.

We went to Liz's grandparents' house for the Thanksgiving meal, and her grandfather ("Pepe" to the boys) had set up a cart on his lawnmower to give them rides.

He also couldn't resist going for a ride himself.

Uncle Matt taking a ride with the boys.

After the rides, Owen and Jonah climbed all over the tractor, pretending to drive.

We picked wisteria seed pods for the boys to feel (they're fuzzy).

Jonah running.

He likes to gather up as much stuff as he can hold sometimes. Then someone mentioned the tractor again, and the sticks went flying!

On Friday, we took our friends from Seattle around the Cape for a tour. Even though it was VERY windy and cold, we went down to the beach to check it out.

The sea foam was jiggling ominously... and the boys wanted to throw rocks in it. I like the action shot of Owen, above.

Jonah's rock throw.

On Sunday the weather improved, so we took the boys to the fish hatchery across the street and fed the fish.
